Uzbek Music

The first artist is the popular singer Lola Akhmedova.  Her last name is a combination of Muslim (Akhmed) and Russian tradition to designate that she is female (ova). 

 

 

This is a group of 3 young Uzbek ladies who go by the name Setora.  This first song is a traditional Uzbek melody set to modern dance and it’s very nice!

 

 

 

 

Sogdiana (Согдиана) is one of the top performers on Uzbekistan radio and television today.  Her music blends centuries of Uzbek culture with a modern sound.
