Russia’s regional policy calendar

As announced last week, Russian President Putin will travel to Minsk to meet with Belorussian President/Dictator Aleksandr Lukashenko on May 31st.The two will discuss updates on the Union State of Russia and Belarus and plans for making the Russian Ruble the common currency in the region.

Following the Putin-Lukashenko talks, the prime ministers of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will meet June 15 to further discuss cooperation in the “Customs Union” and “CES” (Common Economic Space) policies for Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile President Putin sent congratulations to Tomislav Nikolic on his election as President of the Republic of Serbia.
