The Kremlin New Year holiday and Christmas schedule:
Generally the Kremlin’s territory and museums are open daily, except Thursdays, from 10:00 to 17:00. The Armoury Chamber holds tours at 10:00, 12:00, 14:30, 16:30.
Holiday closures:
On the 26th of December, 2012, the territory of the Moscow Kremlin Museums and its cathedrals are closed however the Armoury Chamber will observe the normal schedule.
December, 27, 2012 – on Thursday – the Moscow Kremlin museums will open as normal.
On December, 31, 2012 – the territory of the Moscow Kremlin and museums-cathedrals will be open from 10:00 till 16:00. Armoury Chamber tours:10:00, 12:00, 14:30.
On January, 01, 2013 – the territory of the Moscow Kremlin and museums-cathedrals are open for visiting from 12:00 till 17:00. Armoury Chamber tours at 12:00, 14:30, 16:30.
Although normally closed Thursdays, on January, 03, 2013 the Moscow Kremlin museums will be open for visitors.
On any other day of the period from December, 25, 2012 to January, 10, 2012 the Moscow Kremlin museums are open for visiting according to the usual schedule.
Ticket sales:
Entrance tickets to the Moscow Kremlin Museums can be purchased on the day of the visit to the Kremlin in the ticket offices located at the Kutafiya Tower and in the Aleksandrovsky Sad (the Aleksandrov Garden). Phone: (495) 695-41-46, (495) 695-46-31. Self-guided tours: Visitors may purchase tickets in the ticket offices located at the Kutafiya Tower and at the Aleksandrovsky Sad (the Aleksandrov Gardens). On-site museum tickets can be purchased at the Armoury Chamber and Cathedral Square.
Ticket offices are open daily from 9:30 to 16:30 except Thursdays.
